The  Reiki Center of Venice, School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork is located in the Oakwood Business Section directly off of Route 41. Location is easily accessible and provides students with plenty of parking and is conveniently located to shopping areas offering plenty of meal choices. The School has two bathrooms, one for male and the other for female students and clients. There is a walk-in tiled shower to use for hydrotherapy projects. Classes are kept small to allow for plenty of individual attention by instructor.

Governing Body

The Reiki Center of Venice, School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork, is solely owned and operated by Francine Milford, LMT, and is a Florida Limited Liability Corporation. Francine serves as the Chief Financial Officer, Administrator and Instructor. Francine has been a continuing education provider for the National Massage Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers since 2002. She has also been a continuing education provider for the State of Florida Massage Board and the Board of Certification for National Athletic Trainers since 2008. Francine graduated from the Port Charlotte School of Massage Therapy in 2007.

Massage Therapy Program-500 Hours

Courses at the Reiki Center of Venice, School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork are experiential in nature. I believe that students learn by doing and gain confidence through repetitive procedures such as taking a client history. The following modules are further reinforced with examinations to access the student’s ability retain the knowledge that they have learned.

500 - Massage Program

The curriculum in our massage therapy school program includes the following courses:

Therapeutic Massage and Palpation Skills  100 hours
Anatomy and Physiology  150 hours
Hydrotherapy  15 hours
Florida Law and Rules  10 hours
Professional Ethics  4 hours
Business Practices  15 hours
Allied Modalities  76 hours
AIDS/HIV Education  3 hours
Medical Errors and Omissions  2 hours
TOTAL  500 hours
Includes 125 hours of Clinical Application where students will work with the publice taking In-take forms, assessing client needs, presenting a course of action for treatment and following through with the massage application. This is great hands-on experience for the student.
